Is That for VENDETTA?

Music Video based on the original serial/graphic novel. What do you think?

Metaljonus responds:

V means 5 am lol but I like the idea.

Power Glam

Sounds like a track from an Anime sci-fi action epic. And I don't mean that as an insult. When the lead solo kicked in for this track, I realized that it fits as a character theme, or a battle theme for an action/role-play adventure game.

Observing your catalog has given me insight that you enjoy the power metal persuasion. I only advise you continue to release tracks, since your body of work, while extraordinary, is lacking in tracks over here at NG.

Not Enough Time for Drinking

LOL

Easy Listening for me. It's off, and it's a Tuesday.

Shit. With all your complaining about Tuesdays, ever wonder if you could do a spoof cover of Rebecca Black's "Friday"?

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Yah, this was in "easy listening", some cock PM'd me pointing that out.
Wha'd he want...a cookie?

Technically it can be easy listening because the fat bastard was sittin in a chair in his mommy's basement with headphones on. Nothing hard about that, unless the fat cunt labors over his own breathing. haha.

Thanks man.

Never Leave Newgrounds

This is reminiscent of John Carpenter. Fucking John Carpenter! This is the soundtrack to a horror movie or a really good ghost story short film. If nobody uses this in a flash that makes into the Halloween collection, there will be mass rolling-in-graves, I swear it!

You remind me of another musician named Waleed Hawatky, who often composes video game arrangements with his guitar and his trippy wits. I didn't like him at first, but after perusing a good number of his tracks from vgmix and other related sites, I began to really appreciate his work. You're pretty much in the same vein as he, not in style or genre, but definitely in your ability to grow on people, whether they feel it or not.

Never leave Newgrounds. No matter how limited your studio appears, magic is being worked there.

sapoman responds:

More stuff is in the works. I really appreciate the comments! I put weeks of work into most of my songs (sometimes it takes months!), so I'm glad that sometimes it shows. I'm also updating my studio whenever I can. I try many different things and I am not afraid to change my style to fit a certain idea I have. I won't leave. I have a lot more creativity to share.

Almost Spiritual

Smooth and evoking a sense of beauty. Far from the modern connotation of the term, "Dogma" takes you to a place above and beyond the mundane where one can actually be at peace with oneself. And it's dance-worthy.

sapoman responds:

Wow, thanks! I've never had such an enlightening review before.

Nothing Bad About This

How cute!

This is actually pretty neat on the side; it isn't just great for sentimental value, but it can actually work as like a closing/credits theme. So it's a double-win.

Happy Birthday, Bad-Man. Don't worry, I won't inquire about your age. :)

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Good idea man.
Thanks for the review. Don't worry about inquiring about my age, I don't keep it a secret. Age means nothing to me anyways. :)

A Black Unicorn Slept With My Sister

Typical... coming from one of the sick fuckers behind the "Be Sprited" series, it's no secret that this is just satire. Good satire, since it's technically proficient in instrumentation (except the cheesy explosive grunt vocals), but telegraphs its reality with the band name and its chosen genre.

I would ask for a lyric sheet, but I'm afraid that you lost it (or you were intoxicated at the time).

CyprusX responds:

For a moment there I thought you would burn me , but boy was I wrong.
Yeah , there isnt much going on in the lyrics because there are not any , just random ridiculously over the top grunts and random words , we were just improvizing along the way =D

Thanks for taking the time to write .

BLACKTASTIC COVER!

But it sucks balls like there was no tomorrow. Try a little harder next time.

My Sentiments Exactly

Holy shit. Bad-Man-Incorporated? Is this another fucking alt account of yours?

Oh wait, it's someone who's on par with the guy. And it's a very early Tuesday when I'm writing this.

Anyway, it's been eons since I heard you delve into the metal. Good God, it could not have happened sooner. The mixing hasn't changed much over the years, though. Also, the song is a little repetitive. Maybe you're just rusty. But seeing how this is above the digital guitar crowd and also above the regular electric guitar crowd, you're still in good shape after all this time.

Again, if I'm looking for someone to compose a score for a project....

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Nope, I'm not Bad-Man-Incorporated, although he helped me out a lot with reviews earlier in my NG career, he also got me into EZDrummer which I've been in love with ever since.
Honestly, I'm flattered you think I'm on par with him, he's better than I am in more than just a few ways IMO.

And yes, it's been a while since I've put any metal up on NG (Not that I haven't been writing it, just NG hasn't been hearing it), I should be putting up more soon.

Charming with Polish Despite Technical Limitations

I think the best shot for finding out the composer of Lilium is to watch the silent film "Lilium" on Newgrounds. It's that disturbing anime featuring that Gothic girl. I believe I saw the composer's name there. If that doesn't work, wikipedia might be a solid source. Just follow any links just in case you're unsure.

It's nice to try your hand at playing, even if you think you suck, to ensure your cover does the source material justice. It turned out rather nice... not technically flawless, but spirited and emotional. Hence, this is pretty good. If I ever want someone to score my game or movie, perhaps you'll be the first one I ask.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I actually found out who the original artist was shortly after putting this up... can't remember the name off the top of my head... but I did find it.

As for the rest... I'm flattered.

When one is drained of all humor, anything beautiful is met with one of two things: disdainful worry or worrisome disdain. Anything ugly is met with violence. Flash is complex and beautiful, not a toy. Keep that in mind... or things get ugly real quick.
